This should be fun
Oct. 28th, 2008 02:45 pmI just found what I want to try next in Jam, thanks to the Jonathan Coulton wiki, which has a whole section on tabs for his songs. Bitchin'!

Re: Your Brains
However, as I just looked at those chords and went ERGKRGHRKF?!, I foresee transposition in the new future. Possibly also capoing.
Also, I need a Jonathan Coulton icon, clearly.

Date: 2008-10-29 04:21 pm (UTC)(I have the chords/lyrics as well as the ukulele tab from Kristen Shirts, the winner of JoCo's remix contest on the tune. Ask and ye shall receive.)
JoCo's going to be at the Moore on January 23rd. I'm hoping like crazy that I'm going to be there too.
Alas, his website only lists TicketBastard as a ticket source. I may have to email him about BrownPaperTickets, eh?

(Though I do see that the JoCo wiki of course has the lyrics and guitar tabs for that too, so if popular demand erupts in Jam, we'll see what we can do. ;) ) I am deeply, deeply charmed that it's been tabbed out for the uke, too!

Date: 2008-10-30 03:56 pm (UTC)She has performed with JoCo on several occasions since then. She's also pretty much single-handedly the reason that JoCo has gotten interested in the ukulele.
I keep hoping that I can get in on some of the JoCo action when he comes to town but, alas, I feel that Molly (aka SweetAfton22... 23?... on YouTube) will take those honors.
Trying not to sound too "sour grapes" about it, she is, on a bad day, pretty dang cute and has a HUGE following on YouTube whereas I am, on a good day, uglier than homemade sin and am still a couple shy of my first 100 subscribers.
I mean, if I were JoCo I know who I would choose and, alas, it wouldn't be me.

Date: 2008-10-30 04:19 pm (UTC)Re: the rest... I suspect I will begin to get an idea of how this will feel once I get my very-tiny-fish book out there. I do, after all, know several authors who most likely will always sell rings around me. ;) Hang in there, though!
