Great Big chordy goodness, revisited
Sep. 2nd, 2008 07:46 pmI should know by now that if I really want to learn the chords to a Great Big Sea song, the place to check is always the OKP. I am not surprised in the slightest to find up there that folks have already tabbed out much of Fortune's Favour.
Interested parties on my Friends list, you might want to check this thread right here for chordy goodness. I have already snagged "Love Me Tonight", "Walk On The Moon", and "Straight to Hell" for playing with; the latter is of particular note, as a kind soul on the thread has tabbed out the solo in the middle of that song, for GDAE instruments. Rock and roll bouzouki solo, baby!
If you yoink tabs off of there, and you're a member of the OKP, be sure to drop a thank you note on the thread. Or otherwise contact the person who posted 'em to relay the thanks!
Me, I'll be over here going ooooo at learning some shiny new chords. "Love Me Tonight" has quite a few more chords in it than I thought it did, and my respect for it has jumped up considerably on those grounds alone. Mmmm, F/A, F/C, Gsus, G/B, Dm7/G, mmmmmm.

Date: 2008-09-03 05:05 pm (UTC)I really, really like the F/A -> G/B -> F/C -> Gsus -> G progression in that last little bit of the verse in "Love Me Tonight". I love learning new chords! <3
Also, Alan + guitar icon FTW! <3
