annathepiperI can now report with great pleasure that "Love Me Tonight", Track #1 on Fortune's Favour, has become the first song off this album to make me pick up the guitar and start trying to play it.
The chords are simple, as near as I can tell: a bunch of C, F, Am, and G. It's in the key of C--something I was able to ping by ear thanks to having transposed "Goin' Up" into C lately so I could sing it better.
However, there's one line in the verse where I can't make out what the correct chord is supposed to be. Here's the verse structure:
The bit I can't figure out is what chord is falling on "all" in the second to the last line. I've tried several chords there and none of them sound quite right. The obvious nominees of F, G, C, and Am don't sound correct; Am sounds better to me falling on "send". Tried Em and Dm as well, and they didn't sound right either. The B'ys don't tend to get too funky with their chords, so it may be that one of these chords is actually the right one and I'm just hearing it wrong. On the other hand, I do know that they have occasional sus2's and sus4's and add9's thrown into ditties, so it could be something along those lines too.
Anybody who owns the album want to take a stab at it and see if you can figure out what chord goes there?
