Martian Death Flu II: Son of Martian Death Flu

Since this weekend, I've had either a relapse of the previous Martian Death Flu, or an entirely new bug invading my system. I've got some deep coughing going on. I've got occasional chills (though I'm not sure whether this is due to this bug or due to the Tamoxifen I've been taking). I've got general fatigue. I've got watery eyes and a congested nose.

And I'm really, really tired of this.

Staying home from work today because I feel like crap, and taking the earliest available appointment at the clinic this afternoon to see if I can get this figured out and dealt with. Let's see if they give me something more useful than the albuterol inhaler this time.

Maybe a bacterial infection worked its way into the void after the flu. Tell them the stupid inhaler isn't sufficient.

Spoke with a different doctor this time at the clinic. He thinks I have a sinus infection and has given me an antibiotic. So! We'll see how I feel tomorrow.

Blame it on Ireland. That's what K brought home when we got back, and now we've all got it - fever (with chills), cough, noses like hoses, utterly wiped. Blegh.

Today's doctor (different person at the usual clinic I go to) says he thinks that this is probably a new bug and that I have me a sinus infection. Joy!

My antibiotic seems to be helping, thankfully; I feel significantly today than I did yesterday. We'll see if this trend continues.

This has been a bad year for plagues of various kinds. It seems everyone I know lives in a household that's had multiple sicknesses, often in short succession.

Perhaps we need to finally teach those Martians a lesson. This alien invasion cannot stand!

They gave me an antibiotic prescription finally--dude at the clinic thinks I have a sinus infection, and that it's a new bug this time, as opposed to a relapse of the old bug.

We'll see if the antibiotic can beat back the Martian hordes at last!
