heavy wet snow again this morning; spun car out on Camp 8 hill but escaped with only a bent wheel-rim when I hit the wing of a culvert.

glad that i have snow tires and not one but two spares.

am so --ready-- for warmer weather to come, though.

yahh, am very glad i don't have **your** street and driveway to worry about; I only have that corner at Camp 8, and then the nasty long stretch of General Hill on highway 28 down towards the fish hatchery, and that's so close to sea level that it probably won't be snowing there at all. It might be snowing up in the village, though there isn't much of a hill there so it doesn't much matter.

**do** however have to work this weekend so will do it all over again tomorrow morning. the things that we do for a pay-cheque....

really do hope that your martian death crud (and D.'s one, too) gets settled out soon. Fennel seed tea, always a stand-by. ^_^

oh, checked the car wheel and it's okay.

be well!

arĂ», we got the Martian Death Flu while in Massachusetts last month; made for an interestingly inactive time there, that's for sure, since there was just about zero desire to get out of bed other than for obvious necessities.

the force-feeding of vitamin C is definitely familiar, was up to about 12 grammes/day [1] at which point the toilet bowl was being corroded by the acid rock drainage that was being produced. didn't try zinc, but the vitamin probably really did help.

sleep is good. just told Little Boss that chances are I will take Monday off, and won't work long hours today through Sunday -- there are limits to what any body can do, especially when it ^%$*&%(&^(ing continues to snow.

oh well, the woods look pretty, anyway, and the ravens circling overhead are croaking and cronking most majestically.

be done with flu, soon....

[1] have absolutely no idea what the maximum safe daily dose in mg/kg body mass might be. one would think fairly high, since natural fruits like oranges, etc. are high in vitamin C and certainly most people have gorged themselves on oranges at least once in this life ^_^
