ATTN: MurkMUSH users
Jan. 30th, 2008 03:23 pmThose of you who were logged in this afternoon probably noticed that the MUSH fell over unexpectedly. This is due to the server it lives on unexpectedly running out of space. I figured out why and have fixed that problem, but now I'm having issues getting the MUSH restarted since the crash appears to have confused the hell out of the database.
Don't have an ETA on when we'll be back up yet as I'm at work and work is nuts, but watch this space for further details.
For those of you who are or who have been MUSH administrators, if you know the proper magic words to utter to make a database un-confuse itself after a game crash due to the disk filling up, please to sing out. Thanks!
ETA 4:18pm: And we're back. As per
solarbird's wise council I pulled the database files out of our last system backup and just started the MUSH again with no problems. I did have to roll us back to earlier this month, since that was our last backup, but we shouldn't have lost anything significant.
