Beta reading reminder

Folks, those of you who have offered to beta-read Queen of Souls for me, please to note that I do plan to start editing it once my radiation treatment is over. So this means I estimate starting it the last week of this month; let's call the date 1/25.
So if y'all have feedback you want to get me, please be sure and get it to me by then. If you're hard-pressed for time, focus first on the Prologue and then Chapters 1 and 2, since those are the things that'll be in any partials I start sending out.
Thanks again for any help you can provide. It is most appreciated!

Date: 2008-01-03 08:32 am (UTC)January is also going to be a whirlwind, but I will find the time to read at least the "priority" bits you mentioned. (Although my guess is, once I actually start reading, I won't be able to stop at Chapter 2, regardless of how busy I am. :-)

Date: 2008-01-03 07:50 pm (UTC)And remember: hardcore line by line proofing is not required. If all you have time for is to just read a few chapters and say "yes, this works for me" or "no, this bit was shaky/confusing, maybe you should do this instead", that's fabulous. I've had readers who have issued me no comments whatsoever except pointing out a continuity error halfway through the story! :) (Of course, any noticed typos/left out words/etc. may always be pointed out.)
As for whether you'll be able to stop reading once you start... hee. *^_^*;; If that actually happens, I'll take it as a good sign!

Date: 2008-01-03 07:46 pm (UTC)And thanks again. Yeah, the Prologue and first couple of chapters are the highest priority bits. Be sure to read over the revision notes, too!
Let me know if you have any questions. :)
