The Great Big Plan!
Jul. 25th, 2007 01:20 pmIf you're one of the folks on my Friends list coming to the Great Big Sea show at the Zoo on Sunday and you'd like in on a pre-show picnic plan, here is my proposition:
Step 1: Gather in Woodland Park early afternoon-ish
Step 2: Eat food and generally enjoy the company of nifty people and sunshine and a park and stuff
Step 3: Go get in line around 4
Step 4: Watch Great Big Sea sing!
Step 5: (Well, okay, if you're ME) Swoon! ^_^
Please to note that tickets to the concert do not also get you into the zoo, they are just admission to the concert itself. Which is why I'm thinking, picnic out in Woodland Park.
Things to settle:
1) Time. I'm thinking 1ish for a gathering time, unless I hear huge objections; this should allow for plenty of time to enjoy a leisurely picnic before line time!
2) Specific gathering place in the park. I'm not familiar with park details so I don't know specific landmarks to shoot for that can serve as a gathering spot. Suggestions welcome!
Last but not least, I have one, count it, ONE EXTRA TICKET. Anybody local wants it, you can have it for what I paid for it at Metropolitan Market: $21. Sing out if you want to call dibs!

RC, TOFOG, and AD news you might not know.
Date: 2007-07-27 08:55 pm (UTC)Morgan here, husband to Kikki who is also a huge RC and GBS fan. Her sources tell her of an upcoming game next January in Florida of the Rabbit-hois, or however you spell it. RC thought that a TOFOG concert would be a good idea too and why not invite AD down from St. Johns as he might enjoy Florida in January. Apparently everything but the game is up in the air, but still and all would be very cool indeed. I might have to send her alone as we're going on the Browncoat cruise this December 1st and it's kinda spendy.
Also, we'll be at the concert this Sunday. See you there. We bought 8 tickets and are bringing 6 newbies. One of us, one of us, one of us...
Take care.

PS: Saw photos on-line of Karen Allen on the set with Spielberg and H.Ford in full Indy garb. She looks exactly the same. Amazing. Wonder if she's the mother of Indy's son? Kinda makes sense. "Indiana Jones and the Search for Back Child Support"

Date: 2007-07-28 12:41 am (UTC)I saw the post about Alan and RC and TOFOG, yeah, and really wish that that show was on this side of the country--'cause I'd be there in a heartbeat. Sniff! Guess I'll just have to make do with Great Big Sea. ;)
I and mine are thinking about having a little picnic gathering before the show, so if you're interested in joining that plan, let me know!
