Clearly, I don't have flight yet
Mar. 21st, 2007 11:38 amIt got unusually cold in Kenmore overnight--and rather damp, too. I looked out the bedroom window and saw a sheen of wet on the street and thought "Surely that isn't ice on the road..." Well, whatever it was, it was on the front steps too. As
spazzkat and I were on our way out the door to go catch the bus, he was ahead of me and warned me that the steps were slick--about two seconds before my feet flew out from under me, and I landed hard on the bottom half of the stairs.
Most of my right leg took the impact, both high and low, and I should have an interesting array of bruises by tomorrow. There's also a scraped bit on the outer side of my right ankle. I don't think I hit my head, but my neck really didn't like that jolt to my system. In a word, ow.
I staggered back inside, fell over on the couch long enough to send in email to warn my lead and her lead that I was going to go back to bed for a while to sleep off the ow and would probably be working from home. Which I am now doing. But I will also be going to my chiropractor earlier than normal today, because ow ow ow ow ow.
