Power just went out at the Murk. I'm on battery on my laptop and our connection is on UPS right now. YAY!

I'm going to power off my laptop as soon as my downloads are done. Five tracks left and counting!

Got all the songs downloaded safely, yay! And transferred onto my iPod this morning, though it ate a good chunk of my laptop's battery power to do so.

Well, them as made it home are; cflute was stuck in Redmond last I checked, and sans power into the bargain.... but they're resourceful folk; unless their house got tree'ed I'm not too worried.

You can tease Solarbird with the information that a good generator costs about the same as a good bicycle. :-)

Yeah, but we get a storm like this maybe once every fifteen years, whereas she'll need a bicycle every day. And she can't ride a generator to school. I'll let you tease her, thanks. ;)
