No Nanowrimo for me this year

At least not officially. And most likely not the full Nano push either. If last year was any indication, not to mention how things have been around the Murkworks since August, there's no way I'm going to hit 50K in one month. Plus, there's also the pressing goal of getting Lament of the Dove out the door again. I haven't finished the new sweep of edits yet, and that really needs to happen--at least with Chapters 1, 2, and 3--so I can go ahead and get that partial back out.

With all this in mind, I think I will set myself a half-Nano goal. A NaHaNoWriMo attempt, as it were. I'll see if I can add 25K to Queen of Souls, since I really need to get another big chunk of that book done. I did the math; if I do 840 words a day, that'll let me hit 25,200 words in November. That feels almost doable, and should hopefully leave me space for some editing work on Lament as well.

Aww! Nanowrimo being in November is an oft-repeated lament. But then, I've also heard people say that any time during the year is going to be difficult for somebody.

Maybe you could do a mini-Nano?

Go for it! :) And if you set your goal at 5,000 words, hey, that's only about 170 words a day!
