So there I am working on testing a photo uploader tool today, and I say to myself, "Self, I need some HUGE photos to use to test this thing to see if it can handle huge photos! But where could I get some?"
Then I realized that I knew exactly where I could find some: up on Great Big Sea's official promotional materials page, the same one where I found that gorgeous glrk-inducing picture of Alan and Bob and Séan. They have a couple of new shots up there today--screencaps from the Belleville shows which will be featured on the forthcoming DVD! Check out this! And this! Large high-res all-five-members-of-GBS-on-stage goodness! Maaaan, I need that DVD now--

But I digress. Anyway, I scarfed all the big gorgeous pictures off of that promo page to use for the photo uploader, and the biggest ones were too big for it. Too much Newfoundlander goodness for the tool to handle! ;)

That's me, shameless GBS fangirl, looking for ways to get the B'ys into my work day any possible way I can.

Glrk...is that how you spell that noise? I'll admit I've made that one meself a time or two :D Cannot wait for the new DVD!

I believe I first uttered that noise when Alan Doyle showed up at our table at that show way back in 2001, and that's about the way I remember pronouncing it! ;)

Today is the 16th--that's a month and five days till DVD time!

I see that Alan mentions the DVD in today's From the Road, but no mention anywhere on the site yet about whether it'll be released in the US concurrently with Canada. And when will it get to you? I presume you'll be ordering it online?
