And speaking (again) of Raiders of the Lost Ark

A helpful comment on my last post has informed me that the entire Indiana Jones trilogy is playing midnight showings at a theater in Ballard, starting this weekend with Raiders of the Lost Ark!

Now as I posted, I just watched this flick last night--so I've taken the edge off a bit. But the prospect of Big Screen Indy is extremely tempting, and if I could get others to join me, I just may have to do this.

Noticed your Indy-related posts lately, and thought I'd pipe up. Last weekend I got to see Raiders of the Lost Ark: The Adaptation (http://www.theraider.net/films/raiders_adaptation/index.php) at a local theater and it was, frankly, awesome (even without the delectable Harrison). Not in terms of acting, of course, but just the sheer audacity of these kids for pulling it off. They set each other on fire, dragged each other behind trucks (and threw each other off said trucks), and even managed the face-melting scene. I think my favorite bit, though, was the necessity of changing the monkey to... a puppy. Guess they don't have many monkeys in Mississippi. Anyway, check out the link, and catch it if it ever shows up your way. It'll make you feel like a kid again. :)

I have had the pleasure of seeing this thing indeed! mamishka and I saw it some time ago. And yes, it was absolutely fantastic, and awe-inspiring as to what those youngsters did. :D

So to everyone else who might read this, I wholeheartedly second this recommendation!
