petrukio, an old friend of mine from CrystalMUSH! Being all nostalgia-y lately, I blipped onto Crystal and NC last night to see if I recognized any names, and to post a note and invite people to come by here and say hi. It snagged me petrukio, with whom I have had quite a bit of entertaining RP in my guise as Tance Vokrim. ^_^
Now that the heat has slacked off, I'm continuing to get caught up on my sleep. Which is a good thing, because it also means I'm continuing to get caught up on my brain--which lets me write. It was a bit of a tussle to wrangle the words last night, but I did get them out, and am hoping this trend will continue nicely through the rest of the week.
Still no sign of my manuscript acknowledgement postcards from Bantam, and I'm four days shy of a month since sending Faerie Blood off. I hope that this simply means that they haven't opened the packets yet. Patience, youngJedi writer. Must remember patience. And keep working on the other things!
What else... we at the Murkworks are almost caught up on Doctor Who, and have only the second part of the two-parter finale remaining. To wit, day-em. And I am amused at the rumblings of the coming of Torchwood on the horizon. I see that squee going on out there, Friends list. ;)
solarbird, spazzkat, and I have scheduled our Worldcon vacation--and this year as it is in L.A., we will also be going to DISNEYLAND! I feel another Indiana Jones T-shirt coming on already. ^_^ Anybody else on my Friends list Worldcon-bound this year, or are you guys all going to DragonCon?
And last but not least, in the annals of Too Damned Cool for Words,kathrynt's brother daspatrick is as we speak participating in the Mongol Rally, driving as one half of Team Ramrod across Mongolia. I am in awe of his awesomeness. Go Team Ramrod!
