Also known as "Yeah yeah yeah, okay fine, I have a cell phone now". Heh.
As I mentioned in my Street Fair post just before this one,
solarbird and I opted to just add me to her already extant plan--partly because it was easier, and partly because the Working Assets plan apparently is significantly pricier when it comes to roaming charges. We may still switch over at some point if we ever determine that Cingular is made of too much Evil, but so far, they've still got us as customers.
My phone isn't anything spectacular; it's a lot like Dara's, in fact, since I liked hers well enough and require nothing terribly fancy out of my phone. I got a Samsung SGH x-497, and only went so far tonight as to get it set up for voice mail and to get the numbers I'm most likely to actually dial onto the thing. Not sure yet if I'm going to be able to put a ringtone that doesn't suck on it; I'd really like it to make Kim Possible's communicator noise, and barring that to use little instrumental snippets of Great Big Sea ditties, but I am not yet versed in the mojo of making my own ringtones for it. And I'll definitely have to do something about its wallpaper. But not tonight, for lo, I am tired.
So anyway, I have a phone. Local persons who feel a burning desire to add my cell phone number to their address books, send me an email or IM, and I'll give you the number.
