Happy Mother's Day!

Since I have a lot of established, new, and soon-to-be mothers on my Friends list, here's a big ol' Happy Mother's Day for the lot of you. May you and your families prosper, and may those of you who are mothers-to-be never hear the following quote from kathrynt, quipped to solarbird, spazzkat, and me:

"We're sorry, ma'am, but your baby has tested positive for Jerk!"

There's a "Great Big Sea" fandom? Wow, that takes me back. My college friend group was obsessed with them for a few months in oh..1999 I think it was. I have a few of their songs floating around on ye olde iPod :) And I am enjoying the journal, I'm always looking for more music reccomendations and there look to be a lot of good ones here.

*laughs merrily* Oh my yes, there is a Great Big Sea fandom--and as I warn right on my userinfo page, I am prone to large amounts of GBS-related fangirlishness, so be warned. ;)

But I do actually listen to other music as well, and a lot of what I post about is music-related, so if you see me mention something you like, yay!

I have yet to experience motherhood, but I do kind of have the same dislocation every time I realize that since I'm on the high side of thirty-five, I am in fact an Adult. Despite feeling pretty much the same as I did when I graduated from college, only more clueful. ;)
