I'm the only one on the Ecomm team here at work today. My usual lead isn't here since he's moving this weekend, and the other contract tester is out because it's her birthday. So I'm pretty much tackling this regression all by myself. But it's not half bad, as I get to listen to music on Rhapsody, and they gave us a paid lunch. Indian food. Which didn't suck! And although the chicken tikka messala wasn't nearly as tasty as Tandoori's butter chicken, it was still pretty tasty.
It's raining outside, which makes me pleased that I didn't bike after all, because then I'd have to ride home in nippy, rainy weather and I'll be tired enough as it is. So. If my lead comes through on that remark he made about giving me a paid day off next week, I'll have to see about allocating that to some biking.
Today's listen on Rhapsody: Afro Celt Sound System! Some good stuff on their album Seed, especially the bagpipes on "Deep Channel", and I liked "The Otherside" and "Rise Above It" as well. However, the slow tracks on both Seed and Volume 1 Sound Magic are kind of putting me to sleep right now. Not because the music is boring, but because I'm tired and it's more like the soothing, serene sort of music that Liz plays every time I go to see her for a massage appointment. It's putting me close to faceplanting on the keyboard. Clearly I will have to switch to the big guns of Great Big Sea to make it through the rest of this afternoon!
And on the way home, I shall see if I can find Kit's book!
ETA: Personally, I think this kitten has the exact right idea. Why couldn't I have stayed home curled up a blanket today?
