Next MurkJam: April 30th!
Apr. 4th, 2006 10:40 amEven after an eleven-hour workday I managed to stagger home and get 500-some-odd words of writing done, but this morning? I'm paying the price. We're talking Brain of Sludge here, people. I am a woman in severe need of some napping. And I've only barely gotten the day underway.
But as long as I have your all's attention, let's talk JAM. And let's make it official:
The next MurkJam is Sunday, April 30th, at MurkNorth.
Same general details as last time, aside from location, apply. We're talking getting underway roughly around 2ish, to hang out and jam until Pie (which is likely to be roughly around 4 or 4:30ish). If you're coming on that date and you want to be Person Bringing Pie, sing out and let me know. If you need directions to MurkNorth, wing me an email (the address on my userinfo page will be fine). Be advised that there is a cat at MurkNorth, so if you have any cat-related issues, bear that in mind! And as I have previously mentioned on various and sundry posts and comments, persons who'd like to join us just for hanging out and listening to us jam are welcome, as well as people actively intending to play. No prior experience with Great Big Sea necessary. ;) However, if you want to jump in on the jamming and you want to get a head start on what we're likely to play with and you don't have chords and/or lyrics, I will be delighted to provide them to you.
Questions? Sing out! And I'll look forward to seeing you at Jam!

But hey, there'll be other times...
Ummm, do you think a bass flute would fit in? I know a pretty good jammer / filker who's interested... she's in Portland currently but is hopefully moving to Seattle...

Date: 2006-04-04 06:39 pm (UTC)It'll be fun to see what happens if in June I return to working at Microsoft--because if that happens, there's a non-zero chance that I'll tackle biking to work, and that'd REALLY eat up the miles!
