Kristin Nelson says no
Mar. 15th, 2006 10:08 amI got a form rejection letter back from her on my query mail. Foo. Trying not to sulk too heavily about this despite the fact that my query to her didn't even include any of my work, just the pitch--but ah well. I will see if Ethan Ellenberg pings back with a rejection, and I'll try the Ashley Grayson Agency as well. I figure it can't hurt to send out the nibbles at least until such time as I can get Faerie Blood back out the door. If I keep getting back form rejections, I may have to think about FB's pitch some more.
And oh for some TIME. I may have to start scheduling some weekends to be Go Over Faerie Blood time, because I seem to have to shoehorn myself into edit mode--especially when I have other books beating on my brain with hammers, wanting me to get them into queryable shape as well. Really, really wanting Lament done by June if possible, but I'm not sure if I'll pull it off.
Guh! Writing is hard. :)

Date: 2006-03-17 07:52 am (UTC)I'm not terribly distressed by form rejection letters--just because I have a better idea these days of exactly how many people are trying to get writing looked at, and what the jobs of both editors and agents are like. They don't have time to send out personal rejection letters to each and every query they get. Which makes the actual personal rejection letters like the one I got from Luna gold.
