I think I'd like to take this opportunity to be grateful that I stayed home from work today, otherwise I would be on my way home right now in the middle of a storm that's dumping one-inch hail. O.O

Everybody cross your fingers that our power holds out, because if we lose power in the middle of the season finale of Battlestar Galactica, I will be MOST put out!

Meep. So freaking scary, and I'm a complete and utter wuss when it comes to lightning and thunderstorms. ._.;

It was, for a brief moment, funny seeing the pellets of hail bounce off the ground and bounce on my windshield before skittering up to my car's roof.

Yowza! Glad you made it home okay! We've got hail on the ground here now, and I'm suspecting all this is going to make driving anywhere tonight really annoying if it gets below freezing.

We had this white crap coming down at about 4pm. Thought it was sleet but it looked like white BBs.

Then it melted.

It's like the writers and producers smoked some crack and said:

"Let's really piss off the viewers! Shitty finale AND make them wait until October to find out Bobby's wife was just dreaming the whole thing!"

We... sure as hell hadn't expected what we got, that's for sure. I didn't hate it, though mostly I was... surprised. I need to wait a bit to decide whether I actually liked it.

As for waiting till October for new episodes... frankly, I'm kind of relieved. As mamishka has oft observed, one does not so much enjoy BSG as survive it. ;) I won't mind the break!

I was at mom's in Bellevue (near Eastgate) and the thunder and hail moved through a bit before 5. Most of the hail was the size of large peas, with a few honkin' huge ones that were about .75" across. It came down steadily for 5-10 minutes, enough to turn her deck completely white. And the lighting went pretty much right overhead. Exciting! It then took me over half an hour to get from her house *onto* Mercer Island... two, maybe three miles? Sucktastic traffic.

Yowza, yeah, I'll just bet. We had some amusing lightning strikes and thunder rolls here, too!

I'm glad I didn't have to commute in it, that's for sure.
