I am definitely fighting something off. I took a dose of solarbird's Telfast (which is Allegra sold outside the US), and while that's knocked out some of the symptoms I've been having (some sneezing, some sniffling, MOST of the cough), it hasn't gotten rid of everything. Plus I'm feeling enervated and wonky, so I came home early to rest up on my couch.

(And try to get my connection to the VPN at work set up, which I mostly did, except I still can't connect to my mail machine at work, and the guy I've been working with hasn't answered the ping mail I sent him, so whether I get to do any actual work while I'm at home resting remains to be seen...)

Meh. Here's hoping I can sleep this off tonight.

It's like hot lemon. You can get it in bags (at least in Europe!) and just add hot water. It's not as sour as real lemons and it helps me over any cold.

Or maybe tea. Tea can be nice as well when you're feeling off.

I did indeed have some tea when I got home, courtesy of solarbird, and we have assorted hot-lemon-y flavors as well as the breakfast-type black tea we favor. I may have something hot and lemony later. Thanks! :)

My grandmother's cure-all for this is 1000 mg of Vit. C, 2 Sudafed, 2 Tylenol, an entire pot of tea, and sleep for at least 10 hours.

Heh... well, I had the Telfast and that's a 24-hour dosage, so I probably shouldn't have anything else till that runs out. I could probably deal with some more liquids, though, and probably some more C... though at this point it's getting late enough that if I take a nap I'll never get to proper sleep at the proper time!

As it's the next morning (and it took me four tries to type those five words right...ugh, yeah, morning), I hope the sleep and all that helped and that you're feeling better. ::hugs::

Half the bloody department here is sick. One of the kids had mono, may the gods help us! So far, I've dodged the bullet ::knock wood:: but I think I'm glad they're all leaving for a week! :D

Thank you, I'm working on it. :) I'm feeling closer to normal today after a fairly long sleep (most of which was sleeping, some of which was just outright resting even though I was awake), so I'm thinking I'll be fine by tomorrow. :)
