This just in: Water on Saturn moon could support life. Just-published scientific results about the moon Enceladus are pointing at very strong evidence of liquid water fueling geysers on Enceladus--which could very possibly support life. O.O We're talking microbe-level life here, and nothing confirmed yet, but STILL! Even the POSSIBILITY is mind-bogglingly cool.
Here is the CNN.com article, and here is an article on space.com.

Date: 2006-03-10 12:56 am (UTC)Sooooooo exciting! Dad is a scientist, so we all get a kick out of news like that. In fact, in High School, I did a presentation for Astronomy class (Which I wasn't supposed to be in because I was too young at 15, but the Astro teacher saw how beyond my years I was, and thus, I was in Astro! lol), and it was on if we could support life on one of the moons of Jupiter, I can't remember which one, too many years ago, but none the less, I am a science freak! lol.
If he doesn't already know, I'm telling dad, he'll flip!
