Ugh... staying home today, not because of yesterday's vague feeling of coming down with something, but more because I've done some really painful to my neck and need to go see my chiropractor. And hopefully also my LMP. I'm also going to have to stop carrying around my messenger bag, unfortunately, much as I like it in general; the thing's been dragging at my neck, and since it's a one-sided weight, it's really not helping.

This started hurting some time last night, so I slept really badly. So I'm sore and exhausted. Not a good working combination. Now I get to hang around at home this morning and hope that I get some calls back soon from the messages I've left.

On an up note, though, I see I have picked up a new reader. Greetings to l_prieto!

I see on your userinfo page that you're part of the Writer's Weekend crowd--yay! I don't think we met at the last one, though?

I did indeed get to go see my chiropractor. She called me back not long after I got up, and I had an appointment with her a couple of hours ago at this point. She shook some stuff loose deep in my neck, and while the muscles are still kind of tight and aggravated, they're not in active pain now. So progress has been made!

We met briefly (in the hall. At that conference, I think we're all destined to run into one another in the hall ;).

I'm delighted to hear that you got to see your chiropractor, and that she was able to ease some of the pain. I hope it continues to get better.

Heh, yeah, either the hall or in the crowd that gathers around the booze!

I just had a call from my massage therapist, who will also be able to see me today. Yay! I wasn't expecting her to have an opening in her schedule, but it turned out that just after I called her, she got a call from another client who had to cancel an appointment at 5:30, so I get to step in. So she'll be able to work out the remaining stiffness issues I've got going on, I think.

In the meantime I have a nice herbal neck pillow. Mmmmm.
