Third, for your dose of morning cuteness, courtesy of Cute Overload, I bring you these pictures of the new lion cub Koza at the San Diego Zoo, and the mastiff puppy he has been given as a playmate. Brace yourselves, we're talking exceptionally high levels of pint-sized lion cuteness here.

And last up, sympathies to all you folks on the East Coast who have been slammed by the snowstorm. I like snow a lot, but it sounds like you guys are getting a bit more than even I am comfortable with! There are rumblings up here in the Pacific Northwest that we are about to have a cold snap later this week and might even get some snow ourselves... though I'll believe it when I see it.

eh, it's a lot of snow but at least it's mostly fluffy snow and not thick heavy heart-attack snow.

not too badly. some schools were delayed or cancelled, but not a lot, i don't think. since it happened on a sunday, there was a fair bit of time to clear roads and whatnot before the big commute times hit.
