Power outages at the Murkworks
Feb. 4th, 2006 10:12 amWe've just had a few power hits here at the Murkworks, folks. Two really brief ones and then one that had us out for about five-ten minutes. If murkworks.net drops off the face of the Net again today and we're out for no apparent reason, that'll be why.
It's really windy here right now, and we're getting reports over the radio that the 520 floating bridge has been shut down due to high winds. The Seattle Times says that 100,000 homes and businesses have lost power due to the winds as well. Things are comparatively calm here on our little hill, but we've already seen that our power promises to be less than stable. Fingers crossed that we don't go down again!
We've lost the monitor switch for the monitor we use for our three servers, too. Foo. And right now, although
solarbird has brought door back up, newmoon seems to be not quite as happy. So any mail getting routed through us may be somewhat erratic today.
stickmaker,
rosepurr,
starsongsky,
gazerwolf, this means that the LexFA list may be chancy today. Spread the word to folks as you can!
