[livejournal.com profile] solarbird just found out that tomorrow's high wind watch has been upgraded to a high wind WARNING, people. Details can be found here on weather.com; click on the "High Wind Warning" link below the yellow "Severe Weather Alerts" bar. The warning talks about potentially damaging winds, folks, so be careful!

Here's a highlight:

SOUTH WINDS OF WILL DEVELOP OVER THE PUGET SOUND...KITSAP PENINSULA...AND CASCADE FOOTHILLS EARLY SATURDAY. AREAS OF SUSTAINED SPEEDS OF 30 TO 40 MPH WITH GUSTS NEAR 60 MPH ARE EXPECTED DURING THE DAY SATURDAY. ALTHOUGH SOME PLACES MAY NOT EXPERIENCE WINDS OF THIS MAGNITUDE...EVEN WINDS LESS THAN THE FORECASTED SPEEDS COULD CAUSE TREES TO COME DOWN DUE TO THE SATURATED SOIL CONDITIONS.

Jeezers that wind speed brings back memories of dumpster dodging in Iceland as a teen. Be safe folks.
