I had this spell of feeling really hyper and restless a little while ago, just around and after lunchtime. I felt like I had the energy to walk all the way back to Kenmore. A little while later it passed and passed hard, leaving me feeling kind of drained and spacy. I went downstairs to get a cup of hot cocoa and a biscotti, and as I was coming back upstairs I felt dazed and a little loopy. It's not a bad feeling per se, but it's a little akin to feeling like I've been awake too long. And right now I feel a little weak and empty, not quite hungry, but like I'm going to be very soon.

Must be adjusting to the new Synthroid dose. [livejournal.com profile] technoshaman, [livejournal.com profile] starfallz, [livejournal.com profile] ssha, any of this sounding familiar to you? I hope I haven't gone up too high now, since there isn't any dose between 137mcg and 150!

Hopefully this'll settle out over the next week or so!

It could be, when did you start the higher dosage? It's just happened this one time? I'd lie down and relax, maybe take a nap. (Of course, this is my advice for most problems.)

Even if there isn't a dose between 137 and 150, fear not: your doctor can give you a combination of different strength tablets, you can even cut them in halves to get it perfect.

Sounds familiar. And seconding what was said earlier; doc's got me on 1 150mcg/day plus an extra halvsie Tuesdays and Saturdays. Nice thing about T4 is that it's slow-reacting, so you can get away with that without whiplashing your system....

Give it anywhere between 4 and 6 weeks to stabilize at the new dose, this according to my dietician.

Mmm... I haven't noticed any weird reactions with Synthroid, but I haven't had to do much adjustments. They pretty much hit my dose on the first shot so I haven't had any real ups and downs. Hope you get it all worked out!
