Got up a bit earlier today to get into work by 9:30, and I think this'll be my new morning schedule for a while. It's gray and gloomy out this morning, but I didn't mind, since it wasn't terribly cold. And I figured out where I can get diet Mountain Dew on my downtown walk to Real, which is good, given that Dew isn't included in the free pop in the soda machines here. ;)

I got emailed this morning by the guy who ran the unemployment orientation class I had to attend; he's been following up with me a couple of times, checking on my progress. I was very satisfied to be able to report to him that I have a JOB.

I also have a PHONE at work now, and a nameplate on my cube. The nameplate doesn't have an apostrophe in it, but oh well. I'll live with it, just because I dig having a cube again. I'll have to bring in some posters to decorate the place. Like that Serenity poster that [livejournal.com profile] mamishka gave me!

Do I get to gloat the Dt. Dew is among my free soda options? :) I do have to hike up a floor to get it though.

I love cube decorating. I added a new Wonderwoman action figure today. She's doing battle with my stuffed rhinovirus!

I commute by bus too, I haven't brought anything breakable in, though at some point I need to bring in my own coffee mug since I'd rather not keep using the disposable ones.

Glad you have a cube! (Add an apostrophe with Liquid Paper--that'll show 'em!)

I commute in my train, and I bring anything in--glass framed diplomas and prints, coffee mugs. Take it a little at a time. I only drove in once; that time, I had 4 bookcases full of books and journals with me. ;)

The free beverages are a really nice perk. We have lots of tea, hot cocoa, coffee, and soda. There is bottled water, but it goes really quickly, and filtered water. I like the bottled water for the bottles, even though I drink tap water usually.
