Better late than never
Dec. 11th, 2005 06:32 pmI've been Writer's Block Girl again for the last couple of days, which begins to make me wonder if my attempt to tackle Nanowrimo this year did sort of burn me out a bit. So I've been trying to get caught up on some other things till I get over this hump. Today that's meant trying to put a big dent in my email backlog--LJ comments as well as non-LJ email. So if you see something really old come from me, don't be surprised! And try not to chastise me too loudly, hey? ;)
solarbird and I ran errands down to the LFP shops as is our wont on the weekends. The most notable part of this was that on the way back, we saw something really neat across the lake: the sunlight falling on the windows of a building on the other side of the lake in such a way that they looked like they were almost on fire, glowing golden in the mist that was left over from this morning's heavy fog. Dara got a picture. It'll hopefully show up on her journal soon.
And I've begun my next read, Crescent City Rhapsody by Kathleen Ann Goonan. Now that I'm about to return to work, hopefully I'll be able to start putting another decent dent in my To Read backlog in general.
Sunday miles: 2.3 (walking)
Miles out of Hobbiton: 536.75
Miles out of Rivendell: 78.75
Miles to Lothlórien: 385.25

Date: 2005-12-12 02:26 pm (UTC)The best way I've found to deal with writers' block is to write something else.
Sure as shootin', you start writing on another story (or article, letter, etc.) and you'll have ideas for the thing you're supposed to be working on start surfacing, probably insistently.
