I discovered Weebl and Bob way back when our jamming group was still active, for lo, their very first cartoon was near and dear to our hearts. Because mmmm pie. Their latest cartoon, however, made me laugh out loud. This'll mostly be amusing to
seimaisin,
jubelidiot, and
janne, I think:
Weebl and Bob on Paper.
Thanks to

Date: 2005-12-11 07:19 pm (UTC)I do have a certain fondness for the more musical Weebl & Bob cartoons, like these two:
anywhere (http://www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/anywhere.htm)
and
anyhoo (http://www.weebl.jolt.co.uk/anyhoo.htm).
I didn't really know what other work the guys had done, though. Thanks for the link. Took me a little while to realize that the badger cartoon was just an infinite loop, though. Or is it? Maybe I should have seen what happened after 90 minutes?
I just decided to buy the "Wobbl & Bob" DVD. "Wobbl"? Seems like there was a trademark issue with "Weebl." But I couldn't resist when they promised commentary by Brian Blessed. It's dangerous how easy it is to buy stuff on the net just by pressing a mouse button.

Date: 2005-12-12 05:14 pm (UTC)My.
God.
I just checked out this one (http://www.weebls-stuff.com/toons/special+edition/). It's two years old (specifically, from the time the Special Edition of The Two Towers came on DVD, and Return of the King was released in theatres), so some of you may have seen it already. For the rest of you, don't watch it with any foodstuffs in your mouth, unless you'd like a big cleanup job afterwards.
I'm probably a bit crazy for buying that W&B DVD, yes, but I guess I also had the idea that I ought to give some monetary support of this craziness. I'll give my report when I get it.
