Alrighty then

I went to bed at 2:30 in the morning, mostly because I was bound and determined to get at least a small smattering of words into Chapter 19 of Lament, after having done my very first second draft wordiness edit on the Prelude. But I made the mistake of taking (generic brand) Midol before I went to bed. This was a mistake. The stuff has caffeine in it, which kept me rather more awake than I liked for at least two hours. Round about eight or so I woke up again, far too mentally alert to ignore how my back had started to complain now that the Midol had worn off.

In between I did manage to sleep, but my brain served me up what was hands down the strangest crossover dream I have ever experienced: The Quick and the Dead and Harry Potter. Cort was quite bemused to find out he was a wizard.

Lesson learned? Don't take generic Midol before bed.

That crossover dream would make for an interesting movie, but a very strange one.

Are you mad? Add in a Mary Sue and an appearance by Spock as the new Defender Against the Dark Arts and you've got all the worst bits of every worst piece of fanfic crossover demi-slash ever written. My brain hurts just from having heard about it.

Now that is wild! And like someone mentioned, that story pretty much writes itself! Cort would be incredible too! So was there any kind of showdown like at the end of Goblet of Fire?? (And uh...how many times have you watched GoF to have brought this all on? LOL)

That's the wacky part--I don't actually consider myself a Harry fan. I've read the first three books and seen all the movies and liked them well enough, but not enough for it to get into my dreams! Or so I THOUGHT. ;)

Anyway, all I remember about it was Cort's preacherboy mind being blown by magic being introduced into his worldview. Hee!

Now that is REALLY weird! I mean that you dream about something that you have a sort of passing interest in (compared to most things). I guess I'd be surprised if I dreamt about HP too because although I've read the books and seen the movies, it's not on my mind all the time! (Now when I dream about Russell characters I'm like Oooo...it's been too long since I did that! LOL

To be sure, having Cort show up in a dream didn't suck, though he was annoyingly not-shirtless. ;)

But it was definitely weird to have him show up in connection with the Harry Potter universe!
