Good interview and bad weather

Just got off the phone from the screening interview for the potential contract at Real. That went well; they want me to come in for a face to face either tomorrow or Monday. So go me!
Got my treadmill workout of the way before the call, so that's done now. And I took my thank-you letter to the Luna editor down to the mailbox to get that out. Which got me rained on, because we're having absolutely craptacular weather today: gray, rainy, and COLD. Fortunately, my plans for today involve staying in and writing like a mad writing thing. I've had my obligatory night of sulk about the (admittedly damned good) rejection letter; now I need to get back up on that horse.
The craptacular weather is very possibly also going to play havoc with the impending arrival of
ravyngyngvar, who should if all goes well be arriving this weekend for take two of his visit to the Murkworks. Yngvar,
spazzkat says that you'll be here just in time for the most "Seattle" of Seattle-area weather.
solarbird says you may get here just in time for the first major windstorm of the season! Are you flattered we're scheduling this just for you? ;)
This will be wreaking havoc with several of my thoughts about nifty touristy things to do next week, though. Foo. Currently under consideration: the Seattle Underground tour, Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum, the Asian Art Museum on Capitol Hill which is also right next door to the grave of Bruce Lee, possibly a viewing of Mirrormask, and anything else that keeps us out of the weather.

Date: 2005-11-04 05:44 am (UTC)I was so happy that it rained only about 3 times while I was in England, and a couple of times it was for a couple of minutes while the sun was still shining, and then it was gone. Then that Thursday night (I think it was) in Portsmouth, it sounded like we were rounding the Horn for a while, but considering I was airing out that infamous, hot, odd smelling hotel room, I welcomed it! Too bad Jack Aubrey didn't get blown in with it. LOL

Date: 2005-11-05 08:07 pm (UTC)Well, while you all are being washed away, we're getting warm weather pushing nearly 80, which is not all that weird for Louisville this time of year. So far though, I haven't really needed the AC or the heat, so that'll save me a bit of utility money!

Date: 2005-12-07 10:01 pm (UTC)You do realize, of course, that you're causing the collapse of civilization as we know it with this comment of yours?
By answering this old, very dumb gag comment of mine you've given a clear signal that no message must be left unreplied to. As the word spreads, and nobody leaves friends LiveJournal posts unanswered, the number of comments posted will grow exponentially. And every comment becomes another post that others must reply to. As time passes, people will spend more and more time on their LiveJournal accounts. They will stop working, forget to sleep, forget to eat, all while posting and posting while trying to make some headway into the ever increasing avalanche of posts they must reply to. Not one can be ignored, because, you know, that would be rude.
Eventually, all of humanity will end up collapsed over their PCs, mouse finger twitching, mumbling "must answer that Indian engineer." "I've got six friends to alert about Egyptian building opportunities." "That farmer from Montana is full of dung, and must be told so."
