Not too bad today

annathepiperYesterday I did... well, writing mostly. Quite a bit of TV got watched, but I paid only erratic attention to it. Which is possibly a large contributing factor to my having written a thousand words!
Today thus far has involved going to the dentist for the semi-annual cleaning, which was without incident, though I was somewhat amused and a little dismayed to see that the office had been completely remodelled. At first sight I went "whoa!" and thought it looked kind of cool, all fancy and ornate, with a hardwood floor and comfy furniture and marble fixtures and even a water feature. However, the longer I sat in the waiting area (I was 15 minutes early), the more it started to seem a little too fancy to me. The classical music playing was nice, but the fake fireplace with the three little candles in it was just a bit... much. I wound up feeling like I was underdressed visiting my own dentist.
And I did 2.05 miles on the treadmill, and I'm getting some laundry done, and there will probably be a few other random chores done around the house as I try to get started on today's round of writing, too. Yay, Monday. Rah. ;)
And oh yeah: no rejection letter yet! Will I make it to five months? Place yer bets!
