Oh, you mean THAT picture! Yes. That's pretty, that is! What's REALLY making me giggle is that boxer_ferret has pointed out that that sweatshirt Alan is wearing is one of Russell Crowe's North Bergen/Cinderella Man sweatshirts--as the universe continues to point out to me that it's still working on my very own personal musical OTP Alan/Russell fanfic. :D

Also, I could definitely get to liking me some long-haired Séan!

And for the rest of you, well, what can I say, I'm a hopeless fangirl. Although I KNOW that the album is not supposed to show up here for another two weeks, I still popped into Barnes and Noble on the way home just to see if they had it. They didn't, of course, but they did have several other GBS albums, so I rest assured I'll be able to find it at the B&N in Woodinville when I bike over there on the 25th!

I hadn't seen it before! I only just now saw it tonight! *giggles* I downloaded the email into Outlook and went OH OKAY THAT'S THE PICTURE, and then boxer_ferret posted about it too. :D

I haven't heard any of the new GBS CD yet, but I'll probably just get it on Oct. 25 at my nearest Best Buy.

Samples are available for the listening up on their site, if you're so inclined (as I'm sure you doubtless saw me gushing in earlier posts!).

And woot for buying the album! I have definitely settled on going out on a bicycle quest to Woodinville for it; that way I get in a nice bike ride as well as the album itself.

Oh, OK. I should check that out. I've only looked around on amazon while looking for the new album (while browsing through their older stuff) and didn't see any samples. I don't really need to hear a whole lot. I know they've come up with something good again and I don't mind waiting to hear it proper once I get the CD.

If you're interested in the samples, you can go listen to them on GBS's very own site, on the page for the album. Samples are posted there for all the songs. Good long samples, too... some of them are almost a minute long, with a whole verse and first chorus. Definitely enough to give me an idea of which of these ditties are going to be my repeat play favorites, already! (And oh MY, the harmony on "The River Driver" sounds STUNNING...)

If you're going to buy the album anyway, all the better. ;)

They're rather like Jack and Stephen that way, aren't they? Oh gods, now I have this visual in my head of Russell playing the fiddle and Alan playing the cello. Somehow I could totally see Alan playing Stephen Maturin, too. The round specs would look VERY good on him! ;)
