Spoke too soon

No writing tonight after all. I think I'm coming down with something; I started getting a little snorky last night, and tonight, I started feeling like I was running a temperature. A thermometer read me in around 99 degrees, and while my beloved solarbird says that's within normal variance, it nevertheless is "off" enough for me to not feel quite right. A tiny bit of a cough leapt out once tonight, too, though it has yet to attempt a repeat performance.

Bah. I can't afford any sick time right now, not when I have a scant month left on the contract and I need all the hours I can get. On the other hand, as Dr. Marshall pointed out to me today, I DID just have major surgery...

Bah.

Anyway, what with feeling off tonight, Kestar has not yet deigned to tell me how he wants to start off Chapter 15, so I guess I'm going to bed early to make up for going to bed too damned late last night. More tomorrow.

Take some extra C... and don't push yourself too hard. Better to miss a few hours up front than more later.

Yeah, I'm taking extra C daily anyway--it's part of my daily vitamin regimen. We'll see how I hold up today!

Oh my... sorry for not asking, I know you're not adverse but heaven knows I never THOUGHT of someone being adverse to it! *sweatdrop* I need to be a bit more careful about that and ASK... I'm glad YOU aren't against it though. =)

Well, normal varies among people- the 98.6 is just an average, not an absolute. My normal temperature varies from about 97.5 to 98... if I'm at 98.6 or 99, I'm ruinning a fever and I can feel it. :P So you never know.

Yeah, my normal is 97.2, so a 99 degree temp is almost a two degree raise for me. However, since people assume 98.6, no one ever believes me. :)

Oh, odd! I haven't taken an average normal reading for myself in some time, but I'm pretty sure I run more to the average than that.

That's the vexing part... I can't figure out if I'm actually ill or if it's my system trying to adjust to the Synthroid or what.

Though I think that waking up hoarse with a bit of a cough kind of argues for 'ill'.

Lots of vitamin C and lots of liquids! Drink lots of water 'n stuff! Hopefully you were just having an 'off' night and feeling back up to snuff soon. :)

I take extra vitamin C anyway, so that helps, and yeah. I had extra water last night. We'll see how I hold out today. :)
