Looks like I get to have a weekend, finally. To celebrate this, and to celebrate the end of the positively ridiculous amounts of overtime I have been working this week, I intend to go buy myself a treat. This will do double duty as something to do while I'm Recovering From Surgery Girl next week, too!

But I do not know what to get, and my brain, it is mush. So clearly I need your all's input on this, people. Sing out!

Don't get books. Get something that requires little cognitive involvement. TV shows work very well for this.

Although, for the latter half of the week, books might be helpful. When you're more with it, and getting bored of movies/TV. Also, puzzle magazines work really well.

Yeah, I imagine you'll be a bit less out of it than I was. Probably more on the level I was at by the time I got to my father's house and can remember anything. In which case I readmy little brother's copy of Goblet of Fire. Harry Potter seems to be suitably fluffy for that sort of thing.

And again, if you enjoy puzzles (logic, word, math), I highly recommend the corresponding Dell magazines as good ways to pass time.

You knew what my answer had to be, though I wavered at the Firefly DVDs. :)

Hadda vote books, just on principle. Though Firefly was my second choice... I've heard so much about just how good Josh got it.... one of these days he might even be as good as JMS...

Naaah. There can be only one Great Maker. :)

My instinct is to go with the book(s) selection. If you haven't already picked up Eragon, it's a rather good read, besides, the next book in that series is due out soon. If your to read list is already long, forgo the books. As to the first series of Star Trek, which one? I'm inclined to think you'd go for TOS, although make sure you don't forget to watch the ones where Christopher Pike was captain and Majel Barrett's character was Number One first.
