Saturday overtime adventures

I think that if you're going to be working full days of work on both days of your weekend, it is therefore legal to rescind your usual two-cans-of-soda-a-day limit so as to allow your brain to keep running for the duration. I'm probably going to pay for this later, but at least I won't be face-down in the keyboard while I'm monitoring all these build machines.

Four hours of work so far today. So far we've had two different boxes of donuts made available to the rather large numbers of us in to deal with this deadline and this build, and so far we've had any number of amusing things go wrong.

On the other hand, the usual busses that I took before I started carpooling with spazzkat run on the weekends, and almost as often as they do during the week. So I didn't have to drive in. And I've got my iPod quietly charging in its cradle, so when I finally get out of here, I can listen to my B'ys on the way home from work. I'll get in a couple of miles of walking as well, thanks to catching the 522 this morning and getting off the 522 this evening at Lake Forest Park Town Centre rather than at 61st.

I should probably have lunch soon, but then, we also had donuts, and I'm still humming on caffeine and sugar. W00t! And I came home last night to find that mamishka had brought jelly-filled chocolates over when she'd joined us for BSG. Which I missed. Sniff.

Guess I'll have to have me a BSG marathon after the surgery!

Caffeine, sugar, and pizza got me through the day! And getting home for a nice relaxing bubble bath was a big help, too.
