Problems with Tranquility II layout?
Jul. 28th, 2005 09:32 amAre any users of this layout besides me noticing an issue that on every link on your journal, the "Leave a comment" link is linking back to the journal itself rather than to the Reply mode for the entry? I'm seeing this happen on my own journal as well as the two communities I maintain, and on the Friends view for these communities as well. I've checked two other people on my Friends list who're using the layout as well, and it seems to happen for me on their journals too.
(If you click on the "Link" link that does take you to the entry, and you can leave a comment from there. However the value for the "Leave a comment" link got lost, it only seems to be affecting the Recent Entries and Friends views that I've noticed, and not the Entry view.)

Date: 2005-07-29 12:23 am (UTC)By the way, that dancing animated GIR? I love the graphic, but it makes an even worse background for a web page than that other one you were using before. Animated graphics in general really are NOT good ideas for web page backgrounds of any kind, because far more often than not they're going to make your visitors' eyes hurt.

Date: 2005-07-29 04:58 pm (UTC)(I've gone digging in the Tranquility II style code. As near as I can tell, the problem lies with a builtin function in the core layer, print_reply_link. I can't find the code for that to see exactly what it does. But if I do a View Source on my journal, I see that the href values for any of the Leave a Comment links aren't getting set to anything.)
