Quiet Friday so far
Jul. 8th, 2005 10:54 amI came in this morning to find that the internal web page I use to monitor all of my test servers was BROKEN. It stayed that way for about an hour until a teammate fixed it, at which point we discovered we didn't have anything testing anyway, so it wasn't like we lost any time. We have since had two builds come out, which are installing as I type, but otherwise the morning has been blessedly quiet. I approve.
Perhaps I shall spend the time getting caught up on my Writer's Weekend posts, on which I am now sadly behind. And I still owe
kathrynelaraine a post about Angelica, though I have yet to finish Angel-Seeker. Now that I'm carpooling with
spazzkat, that's caused a big hit on my free reading time! (Of course, the minute I start typing up the next Writer's Weekend post, I'm sure something's going to break on the build page. Should I tempt fate?)
I am waffling about how to reset my journal as well as my web page in general. Both need a new look. But I am coming up dry as to what I want to do to them. I really like the new Tranquility II journal layout, but I also like Flexible Squares, and I'm waffling back and forth between which I might care to use. I notice neither of them seem to prettily handle tagged entries, so either way, I'd have to dig into the code a bit and do some tweaking.
Also, this morning's weather was craptastic, and therefore so was the traffic. Here's hoping it's not so much on the way home. I can really use a nice quiet weekend to go with this quiet Friday morning.
Thursday miles: 1.7
Miles out of Hobbiton: 210
Miles to Rivendell: 248
