Date: 2005-04-12 07:14 pm (UTC)Nobody mentioned _my_ reason for starting to write fanfic, though, which was that I was reading a book that had a fantastic universe, really cool characters, and abysmal writing, and thought "dude, I can do this better."
Bit big-headed of me at the time and I'm a lot more realistic about my writing ability now, but there it is ;)
