Date: 2005-04-08 08:28 am (UTC)I am not yet, however, convinced that the Six in Baltar's head is anything other than Baltar having basically lost it -- modulo the dramatic convention clearly in place that All Visions/Hallucinations are True (i.e., his psychosis/whatever allows him to tap into the same underlying mystical bullshit that's giving Roslin the visions of the snakes, and so on).
To be sure, there's clearly some serious action-at-a-distance-group-mind shit going on. E.g., the base-star boomers all knew that Sharon was coming. (... which also means they can find/destroy Galactica et al anytime they want to, which means their real goal is Something Completely Different, and WTF? But I guess we knew that much already...)
The rubber hits the road when we ask how Caprica Six knows about Gaius and Kara. There are spies aboard Galactica. But once you narrow down to people who actually knew/guessed about the affair, we're down to a fairly small group. So methinks there's another Cylon lurking in the main cast, perhaps one of the folks in the poker game.
Also, I think it was
And she aims for the stomach? She had plenty of time to get in a good, clean headshot -- I know, the slow motion was dramatic effect, but she's a fucking Cylon; cannot be stopped and all that... So WTF is up with that? Fighting the programming? or Higher Purpose?
(...Yeah I know, kill Olmos and they've killed off their best actor and they clearly don't want to do that...)
