Bouzouki goodness

I have been gifted with bouzouki goodness! Or rather, an icon of bouzouki godness, courtesy of fellow GBS fan scrunchions--who clearly knows what I like. ;) Thank you very much!

I was wondering what a bouzouki was. Four the life of me, I thought it was something else.

Yes, I do love the sound of the bouzouki, but could never master stringed instruments.

It's very much like a large mandolin. :) A bouzouki is easily mistaken for an octave mandolin, too--the biggest differences seeming to be that with a bouzouki, you have a longer neck, and two of the pairs of strings on the instrument are tuned an octave apart rather than on the same note.

The hand, the hair, and the bouzouki of The Doyle are all fine things to have in an icon. :D
