No rejection letter today!
Nov. 20th, 2004 03:05 pmThere was no rejection letter in today's mail, and this means that I have now had the same amount of time elapse between "manuscript receipt acknowledgement" and "receipt of rejection letter" as last time, earlier this year! Every day after this, as far as I am concerned, is BONUS!
Now if Tor can only hold off sending me a rejection letter till I finish the third draft edits, that'll be extra special cool. Just so's I can whip the manuscript off to either Baen or Daw in its entirety with as little turnaround time as possible!

rejection letter

But at least with this book for this round, you might want to root for "please send us the rest of your book, the first three chapters are very promising" first. ;)

Date: 2004-11-21 11:40 pm (UTC)Yes, but alas it did not do what I wanted. I can't add in the RSS feed from my "actual" blog unless I'm a paid member here and I still don't want to try and do two blogs.
Any paid member that would consider adding me to the feeds please feel free to contact me! :) I still wouldn't mind having the "feed page" here so that both communities can read it (if they're that bored!).
Oh that's right. Not being an author-type myself, I'd forgotten that detail.
OK. I'm adding that to the "root for" list!

Date: 2004-11-22 06:11 pm (UTC)As for the book thing, hee. It varies from publisher to publisher--Tor wants three chapters and a synopsis, which is what they have out of me right now, so I am waiting to hear back if they're going to tell me no outright, or whether they will ask for the rest of the book. A couple of the other publishers I'll probably look at want the whole book right off the bat, though!
Regardless, thanks for the rooting. :)
