This just in from weather.com for the Seattle area and surrounding communities:

Severe Weather Alert from the National Weather Service

...EVERETT AND VICINITY-HOOD CANAL/KITSAP PENINSULA- SEATTLE METROPOLITAN AREA-TACOMA AREA- 940 AM PST WED NOV 17 2004
... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SEATTLE CONTINUES A HIGH WIND WATCH FROM THURSDAY MORNING TO THURSDAY EVENING FOR THE GREATER PUGET SOUND REGION...

SOUTHWEST WINDS WILL RISE TO AS MUCH AS 40 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 60 MPH THURSDAY MORNING AND CONTINUE INTO THE AFTERNOON.

A HIGH WIND WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE POSSIBLE... BUT NOT CERTAIN... FOR DAMAGING WINDS. HIGH WINDS CAN TOPPLE TREES... DOWN POWER LINES... AND DAMAGE SOME STRUCTURES.

This ought to be fun! (In that 'lay you ten to one odds Kenmore and Bothell lose power' kind of way...')
