It isn't terribly far away as I recall. You turn off of Bothell Way onto 60th to get to us, and go up a few twisty turny bits to 184th and the cul-de-sac we're in.

Yeah, but then he kept asking us if we'd seen the Gatekeeper, and when we hadn't, he turned into a red-eyed snarling demon dog and left a VERY LARGE mess on the lawn. And that was before the four guys in jumpsuits showed up!

We'll do our best to get the pictures we had before back up--though that'll have to wait till we can bring web pages safely back online, of course.

And we may make new pictures anyway once we get things settled in decently enough. :)

Well, housefulness! Gotta get stuff settled in the way we want it to make it all homey-like. :) But now that the last owner's stuff is out, I begin to get vibes on how to start going about doing that, at least a little! Dara's better at it than I am. :)

Thank you! :) It's a relief to actually get it overwith--and to actually, as of tonight, been able to go and start dropping off stuff and walk into a new place without feeling like I'm intruding on somebody else's living space. :)

Indeed. :) Now comes the trying to figure out where to relocate all our Stuff! And how to get the cat over there without her having a coronary on the way. ;P Ohhhhh, moving the kitty will not be fun....

Indeed... and it's a big house, and it's QUIET, and full of air and light and that'll be good. So will being up on top of a little hill at the end of a street, surrounded by a nicely landscaped yard and trees at our back.

as for kitty... can vet give drugs so the MOVING portion of moving her is less traumatic? as in she's kinda outta it for a couple hours? then let her loose in a room that looks most like one you have now?

Mmm. Interesting question, drugging the kitty. Might be worth calling the vet and getting an opinion, though we'll just have to see, I guess! The trip will be part of the problem since it'll most likely make her think that she's going to the VET, which is what she associates with being in the car, I'm sure.

Once we get her over there... mmm. Tougher call. There AREN'T any rooms that resemble the ones in the current house. And it'll smell totally different and everything. But if we'll be there that might help. So we'll just have to see.

As for stuff--we've been throwing out a lot already, indeed. :) Though what with the surgery at the same time AND the server hackage, we've had to scale back some on actual sorting of stuff and just PACK IT.

*giggle* Sucks to be us, I guess. At least, right now. ;P

That said, spazzkat has been marvelous in helping us get stuff moved over yesterday and today, and mamishka has helped with some of the packing, and risu helped load vehicles... so we've got a few hands on hand. Moving the furniture--at least the biggest pieces--will probably require calling in professionals, though. There is a significant staircase leading up to the front door!

*giggles merrily* Yeah, tell me about it!

Though we've been using blankets and stuffed animals to protect fragile things. ;) And Dara pointed out something useful to me this afternoon--we don't have to pack for storage, just for transport! So it doesn't necessarily have to be a perfect packing job.

Though we did apparently break my toy lightsaber that mamishka gave me. Sniffle.
