Off to Norwescon!

Getting ready to go to Norwescon tonight, folks, so my LJ will PROBABLY be quiet for the next few days unless I figure out how to post to LJ from my frob at the con. ;) Those of you who have been Germangeeking with me the last couple of days, expect that I will indeed be continuing to read through Der kleine Hobbit while at the convention; I'll be taking good notes about words and such and will do a post on interesting findings when I can. I'll also be writing, and noting word counts; I just won't likely be able to post, same note as previous.

I did, kind of--though I realized fairly quickly that I had a low tolerance for the high levels of noise and smoking and just general huge crowds that you get at Norwescon this year. I was much more in a space for needing me time, so I spent a good bit of the con just quietly hanging out and playing with my new handheld computer. Some of that was taking notes for Der kleine Hobbit, and some of it was just actually writing.

That said, it was a pretty good convention overall. :) Fantastic Ent costume at the Masquerade!

I had a fairly decent one. :) Mostly due to just needing to kind of be quiet and take it easy! But that wasn't a bad thing. Maybe for Worldcon later this year I'll do the more active con thing.

Do you know if anyone will have pictures of the Con online?

Don't know yet! Dara had her digital camera with her, but I forget how much picture-taking she was able to do. Paul may have pictures. I'll spread the word if either of them have pictures that make it online.
