I have a confession to make.

I like Elizabeth Lowell books. Specifically, her Rarities Unlimited series, and her Donovans series. I like reading about big, competent, handsome, tough guys and strikingly beautiful, stunningly intelligent women on suspenseful hunts for rare and valuable items, dodging bullets and murder attempts while they're alternating between smooching one another senseless and driving each other batshit with the clashes of their wills and tempers.

There. I've said it. And I'll SAY IT AGAIN IF I HAVE TO!

And I read Tami Hoag and J.D. Robb, too!

I read pretty much anything that comes my way. I've been known to read a Nora Roberts book followed by Dickens or other 'serious' stuff. It's all about enjoyment and being happy. =)

I love J.D. Robb. I have every single book.*g*

Have you tried Janet Evanovich's "Stephanie Plum" mysteries? ("One for the Money", etc...)?

I'll raise my hand proudly with yours! I read some romance, J.D. Robb, Janet Evanovich, and some Jennifer Cruise. Alongside Nin, Miller, etc...

Evanovich is definately "romantic suspense". I really enjoy that genre now that I know about it. I prefer my romance to have some other element to it, particularily the supernatural (see Pam Binder's "The Inscription", for instance).

Give Stephanie Plum a try. I laugh out loud in public quite often when reading them, they're actually romantic suspense/comedy.

LOL! Based on what you'd mentioned, I was going to ask if you read Elizabeth Peters. For me to read any romance, it has to be strong, intelligent woman meets strong, intelligent man. The Da Vinci Code meets that requirement and is a hoot besides. Um, and how about Robin Hobb? Mostly a cool fantasy world, but some interesting romance bits too.

But then, what do I know? I'll read cereal boxes and warranty cards and.... ;)
