annathepiper... but nevertheless, this is an eloquent protest against those who would claim that queer folks are a threat to marriage, when Britney Spears can get married on a whim and annul it 48 hours later.
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone, indeed. Nobody, but nobody, but NOBODY has any business denying queer folks the right to marry, but especially not when they do not also condemn straight folks who show no respect for the institution of marriage.
Where is this ardent defense of the sanctity of marriage when so many marriages fall apart every year? Where was it when my straight father went through four marriages? Where was it when my straight mother went through two?
