Turns out I only officially got one day off! I was confused! (Which seems to also be going with me not having realized that my immediate boss was going to be out until next week.)

However, I just checked in with my uberboss and he says to take the day anyway, because, quote, "you deserve a bit of a break," unquote. I take this as a valuable life lesson in communicating with one's uberboss when one is confused. :)
