190 extra words added to Chapter 18 + 515 words to start off Chapter 19 tonight = 705 total words today, and a new word count total of 67,634. A note for myself for later: I must go over to Sand Point Magnuson Park, the existence of which I have discovered only just tonight and I've lived in Seattle for what, 12 years now? :) This is going to be the locale for the climax of the story, and I think that for purposes of the second draft I must go over and take a look at it just so I can say I know what it looks like. But for now I get to focus on heading in what's going to be a combat scene... and figuring out a) how to give my bad guy a suitably intelligent Evil Plan that does him the courtesy of assuming he is not an idiot, and b) making it so that the good guys can still fuck things up royally for him.

[livejournal.com profile] mamishka and [livejournal.com profile] solarbird have both offered sage advice, with tips such as the unexpected resiliency or skill of the good guys, fortuitous timing, and the ever-popular "talking about your Evil Plan with your targets" Major Villain Mistake. ;) Muahaha!

*blink* YOu didn't know about Sand Point?

Talk to the Pawtowskis ([livejournal.com profile] epawtows, [livejournal.com profile] dpawtows, and [livejournal.com profile] ypawtows) --Norwescon Transportation department

1. They are in a group that means at Sand Point regularly
2. They run a game that meets there. And have run it for years.

They may be able to help you get it realistic. If you want.
